Les Ferreres Aqueduct, Roman aqueduct in Tarragona, Spain
The Les Ferreres Aqueduct stretches across 217 meters with two tiers of arches, reaching a height of 27 meters above the ground.
During the first century AD, this structure formed part of a 15-kilometer water supply system that transported water from the Francoli River to Tarraco.
The aqueduct stands as a component of the Archaeological Ensemble of Tarraco, recognized by UNESCO for its significance in Roman engineering.
Located 4 kilometers north of Tarragona, visitors can reach the aqueduct via bus lines 5 and 85 or through the N-240 road.
The structure contains 36 precisely engineered arches, with 25 on the upper level and 11 on the lower level, built using stone blocks without mortar.
