Pamplona Cathedral, Catholic cathedral in Navarreria, Spain
The Cathedral of Santa Maria features a Gothic interior with a cruciform layout, central nave, four shorter aisles, and partially polychrome rib vaults.
Construction started in 1394 after a Romanesque cathedral collapsed in 1391, with the current structure incorporating both Gothic and Neoclassical architectural elements.
The cathedral houses the tomb of Charles III of Navarre and Eleanor of Castile, created by Jehan Lome de Tournai in 1419.
Visitors can attend daily mass services at 9:30 AM, with additional services on Sundays and special ceremonies throughout the religious calendar.
The cathedral contains a music chapel established over 800 years ago, making it the oldest musical institution in the Navarra region.
