Château de Caumont, Renaissance castle in Cazaux-Savès, France

The castle consists of two main structures: a medieval section from the 15th century and a square Renaissance building constructed between 1525 and 1535.

Architect Nicolas Bachelier designed this monumental castle, which belonged to Gaston Fébus before passing to the Nogaret de La Valette family through marriage in 1521.

The castle hosts a Renaissance Festival in October, featuring conferences, equestrian shows, costume parades, concerts, and local markets within its grounds.

Located 35 minutes from Toulouse, the castle opens daily from 2 PM to 6 PM in July and August, with guided tours priced at 13 euros for adults.

The estate encompasses 50 hectares of wooded property, including gardens with a 450-year-old oak tree and an innovative irrigation system from the 19th century.
