Palace Brühl-Marcolini, Baroque palace in Friedrichstadt district, Dresden, Germany.
The palace spans 200 meters along Friedrichstraße, featuring an octagonal garden hall and ornate architectural elements on its symmetrical facade.
Count Heinrich von Brühl acquired the palace in 1736 and commissioned Johann Christoph Knöffel to transform it into an extended baroque residence with lateral wings.
The palace includes the Chinese Room, where Napoleon Bonaparte met Prince Metternich in 1813 for critical diplomatic negotiations during the Napoleonic Wars.
The building now functions as part of Dresden-Friedrichstadt Municipal Hospital, allowing visitors to view its preserved exterior architecture during regular hours.
Composer Richard Wagner resided in the East Wing of the palace, where he worked on his opera Lohengrin before departing Dresden in 1849.
