Church of Our Lady, Lutheran cathedral in central Copenhagen, Denmark
The Church of Our Lady stands as a Neoclassical structure with red brick walls, featuring a 60-meter tower and interior columns supporting the vaulted ceiling.
The current building, designed by architect Christian Frederik Hansen, replaced previous structures on this site after British forces destroyed the cathedral in 1807.
The cathedral contains Bertel Thorvaldsen's marble sculptures, including the central figure of Christ and twelve apostles positioned along the nave's walls.
The Cathedral operates from Monday through Saturday between 8 AM and 5 PM, with limited wheelchair access through designated entrance points.
The cathedral houses Denmark's largest bell, weighing 4 tons, within its tower structure that reaches a height of 60 meters above street level.
