Prince's Mansion, Rococo mansion in Indre By, Denmark
The Prince's Mansion stands at Frederiksholms Kanal with three wings, a central courtyard, and architectural elements characteristic of Danish Rococo design.
The structure began as the Michelbecker House in 1684 before architect Nicolai Eigtved transformed it into a royal residence in 1744.
The mansion transitioned from a Crown Prince residence to become the main building of the National Museum of Denmark.
A glass roof added in 1992 covers the interior courtyard, creating a central lobby accessed through the main entrance.
The building temporarily housed the Supreme Court of Denmark following the destruction of Christiansborg Palace by fire in 1794.
