Fuglsang Manor

The Neoclassical manor house features decorated rooms, including a music room with superior acoustics and the Agnethe Room containing Danish folk tale frescoes.

Originally established as a fortified castle in 1368 near Guldborgsund Strait, the manor was relocated in the 16th century and rebuilt by architect Jens G. Zinn in 1869.

The manor functions as a cultural center hosting classical concerts, with past visitors including composers Edvard Grieg and Carl Nielsen during the early 1900s.

The estate spans 1,731 hectares managed by Det Classenske Fideicommis, offering facilities for conferences, cultural events, and guided tours throughout the year.

The property houses the Fuglsang Art Museum since 2008 and maintains an active agricultural operation while serving as a cultural gathering place.
