Église de Notre-Dame-d'Avenas

The church features a simple stone structure with a wooden-framed nave measuring 15 meters by 5.5 meters and a semicircular apse.

Between 880 and 910, Cistercian monks established a monastery, leading to the construction of this Romanesque church between 1088 and 1150.

The central altar, carved from white limestone in the 12th century, displays high-relief scenes including Christ surrounded by twelve apostles.
