Velthurns Castle, Renaissance castle in Feldthurns, South Tyrol, Italy.
The castle contains ten rooms decorated with wooden panels, ornate stucco work, and intricate wall paintings from the late sixteenth century.
Prince-bishop Johann Thomas von Spaur constructed this summer residence in 1580 as a retreat for the bishops of Bressanone until secularization.
The ground floor houses archaeological exhibits from the Eisack Valley, while the upper level displays historical furnishings and Renaissance period art collections.
Visitors can explore the castle from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM, with guided tours available in multiple languages.
The castle maintains an extensive collection of German Renaissance craftsmanship, including carved portals and detailed interior decorations from the 1500s.
