Raufoss Ammunisjonsfabrikker is an industrial complex in Vestre Toten Municipality, roughly 100 km north of Oslo, with multiple buildings dedicated to ammunition manufacturing and testing facilities. The site features specialized proving grounds and workshop buildings that expanded continuously over more than a century of operation.

The complex was established in 1896 as Rødfoss Patronfabrik to supply ammunition for the Norwegian Armed Forces, operating under Defence Ministry control. After 1948 it transitioned to private management while continuing weapons and ammunition manufacturing for both domestic and international markets.

Multiple generations of local families worked at the site, shaping a strong industrial identity within the Raufoss community that continues to influence local pride and heritage today.

The site operates under strict security protocols with separate entrances for deliveries and restricted access to hazardous material areas. Visits require advance coordination with facility management, and only designated sections are normally open to tour groups.

The site contains more than 20 specialized test ranges for evaluating ammunition and rocket motor performance, making it one of Norway's largest defense facilities. Many of these proving grounds remain in use today and represent decades of testing infrastructure that has been continuously upgraded.
