Sandringham House, Country house in Norfolk, England

Sandringham House is a private home of Elizabeth II, whose father, George VI, and grandfather, George V, both died there.

The estate was bought in 1862 for the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII.

The main ground floor rooms, regularly used by the Royal Family, are open to the public.

The house, set in 24 hectares of stunning gardens, is perhaps the most famous stately home in Norfolk and is at the heart of the 8,000-hectare Sandringham Estate.

Every year, the royal family spends Christmas at Sandringham House, which is a tradition that was established by Queen Victoria.
