Presaddfed Burial Chamber

The monument contains two separate stone tombs positioned seven feet apart, with the southern structure maintaining its original capstone supported by four uprights.

The burial chambers date from the Neolithic period, and their different alignments suggest construction and use during separate phases of prehistoric development.

These burial structures represent the mortuary practices of early agricultural communities in Wales, demonstrating their approach to commemorating the deceased.

Visitors can access the site year-round through a kissing gate and grassy field, with parking available at a small roadside pull-in near Bodedern.

A family found temporary shelter within these ancient stone structures during the early 1800s after being removed from their residence.
