The Collection, Local authority museum in Lincoln, England
The Collection merges two institutions, housing archaeological items from the Ice Age through Medieval period alongside contemporary art exhibitions and historical artifacts.
Founded in 1927 as the Usher Gallery, the museum expanded in 2005 with a new building to accommodate the City and County Museum collections.
The museum presents rotating exhibitions of regional and international artists while maintaining permanent displays of archaeological discoveries from Lincolnshire.
The museum provides complete wheelchair access throughout both buildings and maintains regular guided tours in multiple languages during opening hours.
The Witham Shield and Fiskerton log boat represent exceptional archaeological findings from the local area, displayed in specialized preservation cases.
