Stadttor

The Stadttor features timber-framed construction with multiple levels and incorporates a bell tower within its architectural structure at the entrance of Iphofen.

Built in the early 15th century, the Stadttor underwent significant modifications in 1516 and required reconstruction of its upper floors following damage during wartime in 1960.

The gate marks the entrance to Iphofen's historic district, where traditional wine production and medieval architecture represent the regional identity of Franconia.

Located at the intersection of Hauptstraße 1, the gate stands as an entry point to the old town section, allowing pedestrians to pass through its arched entrance.

The structure, also known as Rödelseer Tor, contains architectural elements from different periods, including medieval foundations and post-war reconstructions.
