Torres de Quart, Medieval fortified gate in Ciutat Vella, Spain.
The Torres de Quart features two cylindrical towers connected by a rectangular structure with a central entrance passage through the old city wall.
Built between 1441 and 1469 by architects Pere Compte and Francesc Baldomar, these towers served as the western entrance from Castile to medieval Valencia.
The towers represent Valencian Gothic military architecture through their pointed arches, steep staircases, and vaulted ceilings that define the local building style.
Located at Plaza de Santa Ursula 1, the monument opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 19:30 and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00.
The exterior walls display impact marks from French artillery during Napoleon's siege of Valencia in 1808, preserving evidence of this historical battle.
