Dartington Hall, Medieval country estate in Dartington, England.
The 1200-acre estate centers around a Grade I listed medieval hall with a courtyard, great hall, and west range dating from the 14th century.
King Richard II granted the estate to John Holland in 1384, who constructed the medieval hall between 1388 and 1400 as a grand double quadrangle.
The Dartington Trust manages educational programs through Schumacher College, Dartington Arts School, and hosts the Dartington Music Summer School and Festival.
The estate functions as a conference center and wedding venue, offering bed-and-breakfast accommodations, cinema screenings, and seasonal craft markets throughout the year.
The gardens feature sculptures and contain a yew tree estimated to be 2000 years old, designed by prominent landscape architect Beatrix Farrand.
