Corpus Christi Church, Guty, Gothic wooden church in Guty, Czech Republic
The Corpus Christi Church stands 15.6 meters tall and represents Gothic architecture through its wooden construction and traditional craftsmanship methods.
Built in 1563 by Lutheran settlers, the church passed to Roman Catholic ownership in 1654 following a regional commission decision in the Duchy of Teschen.
The church holds significance as a cultural monument within the Czech Republic, reflecting regional religious practices and architectural traditions of Cieszyn Silesia.
Located in the Frýdek-Místek District of the Moravian-Silesian Region, the current structure serves the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ostrava-Opava.
After the original structure's destruction by arson in 2017, a new church was constructed and consecrated on June 6, 2021.
