Denali, Mountain in Alaska

Denali, formerly known as Mount McKinley, is the highest mountain peak in North America.

It was renamed from Mount McKinley to its traditional name of Denali in 2015.

The mountain is considered sacred by the native Koyukon people.

Rising some 20,310 feet above sea level, Denali's snowy peak provides a sought-after challenge for climbers from around the world.

Denali's vertical relief of 18,000 ft (5,500 m) is even greater than Mount Everest.
