Everhope Plantation, 1853 Greek Revival plantation house in Greene County, Alabama.
The two-story wooden mansion features a prominent portico supported by four octagonal columns and displays symmetrical double doors with a balcony entrance.
Built for Nathan Mullin Carpenter, the plantation served as a recruitment site for Confederate Rangers during the American Civil War in 1862.
The interior maintains original elements including heart pine floors, period windows, woodwork, and the nineteenth-century doorbell system.
Located near Eutaw off Alabama Highway 14, the property contains eight bedrooms and receives visitors through scheduled appointments at 205-500-0780.
The estate changed its name from Twin Oaks to Everhope when the two signature oak trees on the grounds died after 2005.
