Devils Tower, Sacred site in Wyoming
Devils Tower is a laccolithic butte composed of igneous rock in the Bear Lodge Mountains.
President Theodore Roosevelt proclaimed Devils Tower as America's first National Monument in 1906.
The site is sacred to several Native American Plains tribes, including the Lakota Sioux, Cheyenne and Kiowa.

Its unique geological structure has made it a popular location for rock climbers.
