Burg, Historic museum building in central Klagenfurt, Austria.
The Burg features a rectangular layout with three stories, containing arcaded courtyards and decorated halls with stucco ceilings from 1682.
Built in 1586 as a Protestant noble school, the building later served as residence for the Burggraf and underwent major modifications in 1773 with facade additions.
The Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten occupies the building, continuing the tradition of the Kärntner Landesgalerie established on the first floor in 1933.
Located at the intersection of Burggasse and Paradeisergasse streets, the museum presents regular exhibitions of contemporary art in multiple gallery spaces.
The chapel, added in 1734, contains a fresco by Fromiller depicting the Triumph of Saint Domitian and commemorates the burgraves of Klagenfurt.
