Sharkaushchyna

Sharkaushchyna is an administrative center in Vitebsk Region and consists of residential quarters mixed with farmland and local government buildings. The settlement spreads across gently rolling terrain with a central district where most services are concentrated.

The settlement was first documented in 1503 and later came under Russian rule following the Second Partition of Poland in 1793. These shifts in governance shaped how the place developed and organized itself over time.
