Rechytsa, Administrative center on Dnieper River in Gomel Region, Belarus.
The city stretches along the right bank of the Dnieper River, covering 29.4 square kilometers with a railway station and river port facilities.
First mentioned in the Novgorod chronicle of 1213, Rechytsa belonged to the Principality of Chernigov before joining the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
The town preserves multiple architectural monuments, including the neo-Gothic Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Holy Dormition Cathedral with centuries of modifications.
The city maintains strong industrial sectors in furniture manufacturing, engineering, and petroleum production through the Rechitsaneft oil extraction facility established in 1965.
The city functions as a defense system point along the Dnieper River, with military installations and abandoned factories repurposed during recent regional conflicts.
