Wulingyuan, Scenic area in China
Wulingyuan is a scenic and historic interest area in Hunan Province, China.
It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
The area is noted for more than 3,000 quartzite sandstone pillars and peaks across most of the site.
The site is part of Zhangjiajie City and is accessible by cable car.
It served as inspiration for the floating mountains in the movie Avatar.
