K2, Mountain in China-Pakistan border region
K2, also known as Mount Godwin-Austen or Chhogori, is the second highest mountain in the world.
K2 was first summited by an Italian expedition on July 31, 1954.
Referred to as 'Savage Mountain', K2 holds a mythos among mountain climbers due to its extreme difficulty.
The weather on K2 can be highly unpredictable and treacherous. Ensuring adequate preparation before attempting to climb is essential.
