St. Heinrich, Parish church in Fürth, Germany
The concrete structure of St. Heinrich features two 35-meter towers twisted at 45 degrees, with an exterior covered in quarry stone from Winterhausen.
The church construction began in 1927 under architect Michael Kurz, with foundation stone laid on June 12, and consecration ceremony held on September 8, 1929.
Nine arched concrete piers on each side of the nave display mosaics depicting apostles, while the choir contains a four-meter Christ figure.
The building extends 61 meters in length and 21 meters in width, incorporating visible reinforced concrete inside with an artistic Zollinger wooden roof.
The mosaic altarpieces from 1934 remained hidden for decades until their rediscovery and exposure during renovations in 2010.
