Château de Morlanne, Medieval fortress in Morlanne, France.

The brick and stone castle features a polygonal enclosure with gates, a high keep, moats, and a courtyard within the defensive walls.

Architect Sicard de Lordat built this fortress in 1373 for Gaston III of Foix-Béarn to supervise the region of English Gascony.

The castle houses an art collection donated by the Ritter family, who restored the structure to its medieval appearance in the 1970s.

The castle grounds remain open for visitors, with guided tours available from April to October, offering access to the keep and wall-walk.

The castle combines unusual construction materials for its time, using both bricks and stones in its defensive architecture.
