St. Cecilia's Abbey, Solesmes, Benedictine abbey in Solesmes, France.
Located near Saint-Pierre Abbey, this Benedictine convent features architectural elements designed by Louis Duvêtre and Pascal Vérité.
Dom Prosper Guéranger founded this monastery in 1866 as part of his initiative to restore Benedictine monasticism in France after the French Revolution.
The abbey church contains a complete reproduction of the monumental statue of Saint Cecilia from the basilica in Rome.
The monastery provides two guest houses, each containing three bedrooms and a kitchen, where visitors can prepare meals or join communal dining.
Under the guidance of Mother Cécile Bruyère, the first abbess, this institution established multiple daughter houses across France and international locations.
