Château d'Orrouy, Medieval castle in Orrouy, France

The Château d'Orrouy stands at the top of the Automne valley with its towers and defensive structures displaying Gothic Renaissance architecture.

Built in the 15th century, the castle underwent modifications through centuries, including significant additions of a neo-Gothic tower during the 19th century.

Count Armand Doria transformed the castle into an art center from 1856, gathering works from painters such as Corot, Manet, Cézanne, and Pissarro.

The castle accepts visitors throughout the year through scheduled guided tours that require advance reservations for access to the buildings and grounds.

From 1916 to 1918, General Estienne established the first French tank training command center at the castle, connecting it to military innovation.
