Charvet Clock, Turret clock in Place du Petit-Collège, Lyon, France

The Charvet Clock, measuring 7 meters in height and 2.20 meters in width, displays automated figures that move to mark time intervals.

Created in 1864 by clockmaker Mr. Charvet, the clock first operated at his shop window on rue de la Poulaillerie in Lyon's 2nd district.

The clock features traditional Lyon puppet characters Guignol and Gnafron alongside Harlequin and Polichinelle, who perform with Westminster chimes every quarter hour.

Located near Lyon History Museum, the clock received restoration work by Philippe Carry, returning its mechanisms and chimes to proper function.

The clock incorporates a character named Trompette who signals the hour with a special performance, activating four bronze bells in sequence.
