Bridge of the Camisards, Stone bridge in Mialet, France.

The Bridge of the Camisards spans the Gardon River with five unequal stone arches, connecting the communities of Mialet and Saint-Jean-du-Gard.

The bridge emerged between 1714 and 1717, following the religious conflicts that occurred in the Cévennes region of southern France.

The Alès diocese oversaw the reconstruction in 1717, maintaining the original piers while rebuilding the vaults and road surface.

Pedestrians can use designated refuge areas integrated into the bridge structure, which are accessible from both riverbanks.

The third pier remains as the only section retaining the architectural features from the initial 17th-century construction.
