Benedictine monks from Fécamp established this priory in 1058 at the request of the Lord of Creully, initiating religious presence in the area.
The chapel hosts annual themed exhibitions that allow visitors to explore different aspects of medieval monastic life through educational displays.
The priory chapel, owned by the Calvados Department, welcomes visitors during July and August with guided tours available upon request.
The chapel contains a false sexpartite vault in the choir, supported by four ribs that create an optical illusion of six sections.
