Allouis longwave transmitter, Longwave transmitter in France

The Allouis longwave transmitter is the primary longwave broadcasting facility of Radio France, running at 2,000 KW power.

Since its establishment in 1939, it has been recognized for being one of the most powerful longwave transmitters across Europe.

The transmission signal named 'France Inter' played a vital role during World War II, serving as an essential point for disseminating information.

Though many old European radios are determined to receive this station, the 'France Inter' ceased its emission on Allouis longwave base in the end of 2016.

It is currently the only location in the world that broadcasts a subcarrier with data in Phase modulation.
