Church of Saint-Cyr and Saint-Juliette of Pierre Ronde

The Saint-Cyr-et-Sainte-Julitte de Pierre Ronde Church features simple medieval architecture with a rectangular nave, a choir reconstructed in 1746, and a traditional slate bell tower characteristic of Norman ecclesiastical buildings.

Originally built in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 15th century, this parish church preserves original foundation remnants and represents multiple successive architectural periods spanning several centuries of construction.

Dedicated to Saints Cyr and Julitte, 4th-century martyrs, the church reflects local religious traditions and houses restored 15th-century frescoes alongside 18th-century choir paintings that demonstrate regional artistic heritage.

The church is accessible via a hiking trail starting from Beaumesnil through the Castle Avenue, passing the cemetery and crossing the forest, providing a natural 35-minute walking approach.

Abandoned around 1950 and then restored by volunteers since 1991 for over 30 years, it represents an exceptional example of community-driven heritage preservation in rural France.
