Porticus Octavia, Roman portico in Campo Marzio, Italy.

The Porticus Octavia features a double colonnade enclosure with two temples dedicated to Juno Regina and Jupiter Stator, measuring 119 meters long and 132 meters wide.

Initially constructed in 146 BC by Quintus Caecilius Metellus Macedonicus, Augustus rebuilt and dedicated the structure to his sister Octavia between 33 and 23 BC.

The complex incorporated Greek and Latin libraries, lecture rooms, and an assembly hall called Curia Octaviae, serving as an educational and gathering center.

The remains of the portico stand near Teatro Marcello, with the church of Sant'Angelo in Pescheria now integrated into its ancient structure.

The portico's columns displayed an exceptional combination of bronze capitals in both Doric and Corinthian styles, according to records from Pliny the Elder.
