Baphuon, Temple in Cambodia
Baphuon is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia.
Built in the mid-11th century, it is a three-tiered temple mountain.
Originally dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva, it was converted to a Buddhist temple in the 15th century.
Large sections of the temple were dismantled and now lay scattered around the site.
The Baphuon is considered as one of the most grandiose of Angkorian constructions.
