Eidsborg Stave Church

The wooden structure features vertical boards, traditional Norse architectural elements, and detailed carvings throughout its exterior and interior walls.

Built in 1201, the church underwent partial reconstruction in the 19th century while maintaining its medieval structure and original architectural form.

The interior walls display Renaissance paintings from the 17th century, medieval paint traces, and two original panels from the former Lårdal stave church.

The church maintains regular Lutheran parish services and accepts visitors who want to explore its architectural features and historical artifacts.

The surrounding corridor, partially preserved from medieval times, provides additional support to the structure and protection against harsh weather conditions.
