Old Legislative Building, Art museum in Ermita, Manila, Philippines
The National Museum of Fine Arts occupies a neoclassical building with symmetrical design, grand columns, and wide entrance stairs on Padre Burgos Avenue.
The structure, built in 1921, served as the Legislative Building until 1972 and underwent reconstruction after substantial damage during World War II in 1945.
The museum displays Filipino art collections, including works by Juan Luna and Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo in naturally illuminated exhibition halls.
The museum offers free admission from Tuesday to Sunday, with guided tours available in English and Filipino for individuals and groups.
The central section remains the only original part of the 1926 building, surviving extensive bombardment during the Battle of Manila.
