Sigismund Bell, Bell in Wawel Cathedral, Poland

The Sigismund Bell is the largest of the five bells hanging in the Wawel Cathedral in Kraków, Poland.

Cast in 1520, the bell was named after its patron, Sigismund I, the King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania.

The bell is rung on special occasions, mostly religious and national holidays, and is considered one of Poland's national symbols.

The bell weighs almost 13 tonnes and requires 12 bell-ringers to swing it.

It is one of the biggest bells in Poland and has been rung during some of the most significant moments in Polish history.
