Palace of Culture and Science, Soviet-era cultural complex in central Warsaw, Poland
The Palace of Culture and Science spans 42 floors and reaches a height of 230 meters, featuring ornate sandstone facades and socialist realist architectural elements.
Construction of this monumental structure began in May 1952 and concluded in July 1955, following designs by Russian architect Lev Rudnev.
The building contains multiple theaters, museums, exhibition halls, and a cinema, serving as a central hub for performances, conferences, and artistic presentations.
Visitors can access the observation deck on the 30th floor daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, providing views across Warsaw from 114 meters above ground.
The palace houses 3,288 rooms and features a massive clock with four dials measuring six meters each, making it the second largest timepiece in Europe.
