Saint Andrew's Cathedral, St Petersburg, Orthodox cathedral in Vasileostrovsky District, Russia.

Saint Andrew's Cathedral stands at the intersection of Bolshoi Prospekt and 6th Line, featuring a three-tiered wooden iconostasis reaching 17 meters in height.

The initial wooden church, commissioned by Peter the Great and designed by Swedish architect Nicodemus Tessin, was constructed between 1729 and 1731 under architect Giuseppe Trezzini.

The cathedral transformed into a center for charitable activities in 1869 when the Society for Assistance to the Poor became one of St Petersburg's largest philanthropic organizations.

The cathedral maintains regular Orthodox religious services and allows visitors to explore its architectural features and interior decorations during designated hours.

The cathedral received designation as the Chapter Church of the Order of Saint Andrew in 1797, marking its status as a first-class chivalric institution.
