Ivan the Great Bell Tower, Bell tower in Moscow, Russia

The Ivan the Great Bell Tower is the tallest of the towers in the Moscow Kremlin complex, with a total height of 81 meters.

It was built in 1508 for the Russian Orthodox cathedrals in Cathedral Square, notably the Assumption, Archangel and Annunciation cathedrals.

The bell tower is a significant symbol in Russian culture and has been featured in various works of literature.

It is open to the public and offers panoramic views of the city from its observation deck.

The tower houses 21 bells, the largest of which, the Assumption Bell, weighs an impressive 70 tons.
