Syany, Bergwerk in Russland
Siany is an artificial cave-mine system from Novlensky group located in the suburbs of Moscow. It is one of the largest known old systems in the territory of the Russian Federation, the largest in the Moscow region and is the 5th largest in Russia. The total length of the passages is 27 km. Limestone was extracted here for the construction of "white stone" Moscow until the end of the 17th century, although there is no exact dating of the beginning of the development. Siany is located near the railway station of Leninskaya (Pavelkovo direction), near the village of Starosiyanovo in the Domodedovo municipal district, between Novlenskoye and Novosiyonovo villages, 12 km southeast of the Moscow Ring Road. It is adjacent to the Kisli system. Siany is the most popular of all suburban systems. To visit Siene you will have to get to the first station of the Pavelkovo direction from the Moscow Ring Road. You can also reach the cave system by car, for instance, driving on Podbelskogo passage to the village Starosiyanovo and then turning in the direction of village Novlenskoe. The entrance to the system is located near the village Novlenskoe. These caves have been the top tourist attraction in this region for many years. Upon entering, you will find yourself in a corridor with steep staircases, ramps, and plenty of narrow passageways. As you descend further you'll notice different chambers with amazing formations of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as all kinds of underground rivers and lakes, making the experience even more exciting. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and non-slip shoes, and don't forget to bring a flashlight and some spare batteries. Also, make sure to check the weather conditions, as the temperature and humidity levels in the caves changes quite often. Siany is sure to offer a unique and unforgettable experience with its beautiful and mysterious underground structures.
