Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, Buddhist temple in Ayutthaya, Thailand
The temple features a 62-meter Chedi, multiple halls, and rows of Buddha statues draped in orange cloth along its walls.
Built during the Ayutthaya period, the temple commemorates King Naresuan's military triumph against Burmese forces in the sixteenth century.
Thai Buddhists regularly visit this temple to place gold leaf on statues, offer flowers, and perform meditation practices in its grounds.
The temple opens daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with entrance fees of 20 baht for Thai nationals and 50 baht for international visitors.
The temple contains a collection of 135 Buddha statues positioned in perfect symmetrical rows around the central chedi structure.
