Brovary is an administrative center in Kyiv Oblast, positioned roughly twenty kilometers east of the capital. The city divides into older residential neighborhoods, newer housing developments, and industrial zones that spread along the main roads.
The city developed as a railway junction in the nineteenth century and grew steadily because of its proximity to Kyiv. In spring 2022, military confrontations occurred in the region, heavily affecting the lives of residents.

The railway station offers regular connections to the capital that travelers can use throughout the day and evening. Several bus lines link the different districts and make reaching public facilities easier.
A large broadcasting center outside town operates several tall antenna masts that transmit radio signals across much of Eastern Europe. This technical facility ranks among the most powerful in the region and has operated continuously for decades.
