The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower, also known as the MetLife Tower, is a landmark skyscraper located on Madison Avenue near the intersection with East 23rd Street, across from Madison Square Park in Manhattan, New York City.

Built in 1909, it was the world's tallest building until 1913, when it was surpassed by the Woolworth Building.

The tower is often used as a symbol of MetLife and has been featured in many films and television shows.

It currently serves as a commercial office building, housing numerous businesses and organizations.

The tower's illuminated clock was the largest in the world when installed.
