Solliden Palace, Royal summer palace in Borgholm Municipality, Sweden
The palace combines Italian architectural elements with Swedish design features, including multiple terraces overlooking gardens along the Baltic coast.
Queen Victoria of Baden commissioned architect Torben Grut to design this residence, which was completed on September 15, 1906.
The palace grounds host the annual Victoriadagen celebrations, marking Crown Princess Victoria's birthday with public gatherings and royal appearances.
Visitors can access the palace grounds and gardens from May through September, with guided tours available in multiple languages throughout the season.
King Carl XVI Gustaf inherited this private residence in 1950 and maintains it as the summer gathering place for the Swedish Royal Family.
