Ekensholm Castle, Manor house in Flen Municipality, Sweden
The castle stands on the northern shore of Lake Dunkern, featuring traditional Swedish manor architecture with white exterior walls and symmetrical design elements.
Baron Knut Kurck commissioned the construction of the present manor house in 1827, after his involvement in Swedish political affairs during the late 18th century.
The estate maintains connections to European nobility as the current residence of Count Archibald Douglas and his wife Walburga Habsburg Douglas.
Visitors can reach the castle by taking the regional road from Flen municipality, with the property visible from the northern banks of Lake Dunkern.
The castle grounds served as a training facility for the Swedish Royal Guard's horses between 2007 and 2008, including the preparation of the horse named Salut.
