Sitka, City-borough in Alaska
Sitka is a unified city-borough located on Baranof Island and the southern half of Chichagof Island.
It was the capital of Russian America, when it was transferred to the United States after the Alaska Purchase.
Sitka hosts an annual Summer Music Festival which has been running for over 40 years. It's a haven for musicians from all over the world.
The only way to reach Sitka is by sea or air, as there are no roads that connect the city to the rest of Alaska.
Sitka holds the record for being the largest city-borough in the US by area.
