Hundstein, Mountain summit in Salzburg, Austria
Located in the Schladming Tauern range, Hundstein reaches an elevation of 2,117 meters with numerous trails leading to its peak point.
The mountain has served as a natural boundary marker between different Alpine communities since the medieval period of Austrian settlement.

Hikers can access the mountain via the Schwarzeckalmbahn cable car station, which operates daily from June through September with the first ascent at 8:30.
The summit provides a direct view of 144 meters of vertical prominence, ranking as number 35 among the 359 peaks in the Salzburger Lungau region.
